The rising cost of living and housing has reached new levels that are leaving families struggling more than ever. As we get ready to enter 2023, it’s important to ensure that families whose lives and livelihoods have changed these past few years are not forgotten. Organizations such as Field of Hope and Gallia-Jackson-Meigs ADAMH Board work to try to help those who are lost in addiction and unsure where to go or who to turn to.
Daydreaming helps to reset our minds. It improves our cognitive function and problem-solving. Additional benefits of daydreaming include things like:
Reprieve from stressful situations
Helps us reach our goals
Allows our brains to process feelings, events, and problems that need a solution
As we say goodbye to September and Recovery month, we wanted to reflect on what recovery means. Recovery can mean more time with your loved ones, more time traveling, more time seeing what God has in store for you. For us, recovery means a second chance.
On August 31, 2022, Field of Hope hosted a celebration of recovery and remembrance of those that have been lost due to overdose. Ohio Overdose Awareness Day: Change the Conversation in Gallia County was day of awareness, remembrance, and prevention in our community.
Field of Hope is hosting Ohio Overdose Awareness Day: Change the Conversation in Gallia County. Overdose Awareness Day is to remember those who have been affected by addiction. The event will take place on August 31 in the Gallipolis City Park. The event will begin at 5:30 and it will include giveaways, live music, food, merchandise, a tribute table, testimonies, and a butterfly release to remember those who have lost their lives to a drug overdose. We encourage those planning on attending to bring a photo for the tribute table. All photos will be returned after the event. No registration required to attend.
